As A Man Thinks
Penny LeClair
Your relationships, your body, your money, your life is the physical picture, in 3-D, of what you are thinking. As a man thinks in his heart so is he! Proverbs 23:7. If you have allowed a negative dysfunctional belief system (anything thoughts that are contrary to God's Word)to grow in the soil of your heart, you will create negative dysfunctional feelings that will create negative dysfunctional talk and WILL eventually create negative dysfunctional results in your relationships, your body, your money, your life.
WHAT ARE YOU THINKING AND BELIEVING IN YOUR HEART? It will show up in your confessions, your relationships, your body, your money, your life! The bible says, we are to renew our minds according to Romans 12:2, daily to what God wants for our life; otherwise we will create wrong outcomes. You can always tell what a person REALLY thinks and believes by what they are saying… for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Luke 6:45.
God is very clear about us renewing our mind, Romans 12:2, guarding our hearts Proverbs 4:23 and how what we speak creates life or death. Proverbs 18:21 for these are the factors that determine our success in life, in our relationships, our health, even our finances.
Here is an example of how this happens. Let’s say something negative was said or done to you as a child that created thoughts of unworthiness and you believed it with all your heart . You created a dysfunctional belief system in you that was stored in your heart. Your heart is the control center to the health of your life. You start to feel unworthy and then in turn start to speak negative about yourself, saying… I am stupid, I could never do that Job, I am broke, nothing ever works out for me, or I will never find anyone, who wants me anyway? What you believe in your heart is actually what you will attract. If you are believing negative your heart releases toxic chemicals to bring to pass according to what you think, believe and confess and will create relationships, situations, and sickness that confirm your feelings of unworthiness. The same goes for thinking, believing and confessing God's positive for you life.
Our negative dysfunctional feelings get stored as cellular memories in our bodies that undermine the function of healthy cells. It is a subtle cycle that we don’t even realize we get in to. These buried beliefs are seldom remembered but they never go away and show up in words we speak about ourselves and will influence our choices in relationships, our jobs, our health and even how we steward our money.
Ask God to search your heart according to Psalm 139:23 for any dysfunctional thinking and give it to him. Anoint your heart with Release™ Essential Oil as you confess and give the dysfunctional feeling or feelings that God has shown you to Him. Dysfunctional thinking, believing and confessions are the reason you are stuck, sick, in turmoil etc. Give them to God today.
Renew your Mind daily, Romans 12:2, to all that God has for you. He loves you and has a plan and purpose for you in ALL areas of your life. Jeremiah 29:11 But you cant have what He has for you if you don't read the plan…The BIBLE, your owner's operator's manual for life.

those words live with us for so long and intelligence and prayer may allow us to know they exist and that we can change that pattern but it takes a great deal to finally accomplish it
Oh my how true these words are; we need to check our heart in what we are thinking. It will show up in our life if we like that or not…so true. If we have this onder control our whole life would change…thanks Penny!!
This is one of my favourite scriptures because it speaks such a truth. We become what we have in our hearts.
Thanks for a lovely post Penny!
I totally agree with your article, especially when you said, “Your heart is the control center to the health of your life.”
I think if Proverbs 4, which tells us to carefully guard our hearts for it’s the fountain of life! I so often have neglected by heart and have depended on my mind…. so opposite of what God has intended for us!
I love the scriptures you quoted here Penny. He does have a plan for us in all areas of our lives. If we see how He sees, we will achieve bigger things than we can ever imagine.
It’s amazing how powerful our own thoughts and words are. Sometimes I forget to guard my heart and thoughts against negative, defeating thoughts. You were talking right to me when you mentioned relationships and finding someone.
I just realized when I read your article that I’ve been guilty of harboring negative thoughts; sometimes even words in this area. Thanks for this sobering wake-up call.
