Cursed or Blessed?
In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve lacked nothing, but as soon as they disobeyed God, their abundant life came to an end bringing curses in their lives Genesis 3:17-18 . God’s plan for mankind has always been and continues to be—fruitfulness and multiplication. Genesis 1:28. Through the redemtive work of Jesus Christ, we have a choice to live in the blessing of God instead of the curse.
People tend to look at God’s Word as a book of do nots, making them feel like their life will be restricted. But God’s Word is actually our owners operator manuel to you and to me, showing us how He wants goodness and abundance for us in every area of our lives. How to operate in the blessings. Deutronomy 28 speaks of the blessing and the cursing. I advice you to read it.
Are you operating in the blessing of the Lord?
1.The blessing is an empowerment to have success.
2. Health in our bodies, mind and emotions.
3.When we are blessed, we increase (Psalm 115:11-14).
4. The lives of blessed people continue to improve.
5. Healthy relationships.
Or are there signs of the curse in your life?
1.Mental and/or emotional breakdown
2.Repeated sickness (especially hereditary)
3.Barrenness or a tendency to miscarry, or related female problems
4.Divorce and family alienation
5.Continual financial insufficiency
6.A tendency to be accident-prone
7.A history of suicides or unnatural, untimely deaths
You don’t have to stay under the curse; you can receive the blessing in your life. When we receive Jesus as our savior, we begin the process of operating in the blessing of God instead of the curse. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree” (Galatians 3:13). Jesus took our place, taking on our curse. He abolished the curse and released upon us the covenant blessing of Abraham (Galatians 3:14).
However, to live a blessed life and remain free from curses, we must obey God’s Word.Luke 11:28 He replied, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it." We cannot operate in the blessing when our thinking and behavior opposes the Word of God. That is why in Romans 12:2 it says to renew our minds and when we do, we will prove the good, acceptable and perfect will of God for our lives.
If our thinking is in alignment with the world’s way of doing things, we will only have cursed results, the blessing brings permanent transformation. The key that opens up the blessing of healing, deliverance, restoration, prosperity, wholeness in all areas of our lives is renewing our minds to God’s Word. Change your mind change your life. Be blessed today, its a choice.
