Fear, Fear, Go Away!
Penny LeClair
My heart is heavy as I am writing this blog today. I spent time talking with friends and family this past weekend and it seemed to be that most of all our conversations were filled with fear. This made me sad for them, to be driven by fear. There was conversations of the fear of lack of money, fear of sickness, fear of work, fear of all that is going on in the news, fear of Ebola, fear of not having a cure, fear of not going to the Doctor, fear of going to the Doctor, fear of man, fear of fear itself, etc.  Holy moly, all that fear is tiring. The Bible clearly tells us to Fear Not Psalm 121:5, Fret Not John 13:1, Faint Not Psalm 139:10. God knew what He was talking about when He told us to FEAR NOT.
One friend was so fearful of losing her job, she was afraid to go to work.  One is so afraid of the world crisis that she is depressed and worries about it the point of obsession.  Another of the conversations led me to talking about going to the gynecologist, yes that dreaded trip that all women hate.
I was asked when was the last time that I went to the gynecologist. I said, I don’t go. The exchange of glances and fear that came over their faces took me back.  Then someone said, you don’t go, I said, no. I don’t operate that way, what you fear and focus on will grow in your life.  I choose not be fearful and to walk in faith of God’s Word and know that I am healthy. Job 3:25 says, for the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and what I dreaded has happened to me.   Her comment back to me was, but going to the Dr. is prevention. No, taking care of your body, living right and thinking right is prevention. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he Proverbs 23:7
Now I am not saying you shouldn’t go to the Doctor or get check ups, there is a place for Doctors. But I do believe that we should not submit our lives in fear to the control of a medical system that “practices” at “band aiding” the symptoms instead of going to the root to eliminate the sickness or disease all together.  When the Bible very clearly states that by His stripes we WERE healed 1 Peter 2:24 and we were redeemed from the curse. Galatians 3:13.  The bible also says…ALL things are possible for those who BELIEVE. Mark 9:23. So what do you believe?
Fear is something that I was very familiar with, I spent most of my life operating in fear, and the consequences of my fear filled choices showed up in my life, through sickness, lack and bad relationships.  Until I got a hold of God’s Word and learned what fear really is and how to walk in faith.
You see fear is not only an emotion but it is also a spirit. Yes I said a Spirit; according to 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear. Fear is a magnet that will draw our enemy in who came to kill, steal and destroy us according to John 10:10 and he will eventually bring to pass the thing you have believed in your heart and spoken out of your mouth. The spirit of fear paralyzes us from being all that God created us to be and do. I also believe that fear is killing us, Luke 21:26 says, men’s hearts are failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.   Fear  will destroy, torment and drive happiness out of your life, if it is allowed to make a home in you. It is the enemy’s tool to keep you from your God given destiny.
Fear is the root cause of stress. And we all know where that leads if not kept under check.
You can take all the Valium and Zoloft you want, you can get drunk, smoke, take sleeping pills, fill yourself with perversion, over eat, and over shop until you pop and you may even find temporary results. Eventually “band aiding”  wont work anymore, because the spirit of fear is getting too big for the chosen band aid and now you need a bigger/stronger band aids.  And those bigger/stronger band aids have now caused side affects in other parts of your body, leaving you relying on more band aids. Fear will always be under the band aids to rear its ugly head until you choose to get rid of it.  No more band aiding.
Below are 8 steps that have helped me in the process of casting out fear from my life.
  1. Recognize your fear…there may be more than one, because with fear comes his friend torment, leading to anxiety and depression, which can eventually create physical sickness. 1 John 4:18 Get before God in prayer and have Him help you recognize the fears that are tormenting you.
  2. Receive the Love of Christ in your heart. The bible says that the perfect love casts out fear. 1 John 4:18. Love is the antidote for fear, so receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior. John 3:16
  3.  Let go of any hurts or unforgiveness you may have towards yourself Psalms 103:8-12 and others, Ephesians 4:32 and grab onto Gods love.
  4. Meditate on, 2 Timothy 1:7  I do not have a spirit of Fear, but power, love and a sound mind  as you anoint yourself with the essential oil blend of Valor. It works with both the physical and spiritual aspects of the body to increase feelings of strength, and courage in the face of adversity. Click here for more information on anointing.
  5. Be FREE by renewing your mind daily to God’s Word according to Romans 12:2 you will prove the good, acceptable and perfect will of God for your life. I use Frankincense and Believe oil in this process.
  6. Build your Faith and anchor your HOPE in the Word of God, (not people, news, TV, radio, internet etc)…We need to be aware of the things that are going on in the world to have wisdom to prepare but we are not to put our FAITH THERE.  Faith comes by hearing and the hearing of the Word of God. Romans 10:17 Hope Oil Blend is an awesome oil to help you with the hopelessness that many are feeling now. If we do not have hope we will slowly shut down and stop moving forward.
  7. Turn a deaf ear on negative people. Jeremiah 29:8-9 refuse to listen to dream killers, doubters and non believers. They will pull you into the pit of hell with them.
  8. Start everyday with God, seek Him and know that according to Psalm 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Get scriptures the line up with your situation and DECLARE the truth over that situation and watch God change them. Anoint yourself with Frankincense or Believe Oil and renew your mind according to Romans 12:2.

The  biblical meaning for the number 8 is one who abounds in strength in superabundant completion. I pray as you do these 8 steps you abound in strength and receive superabundant completion from the spirit of fear. In Jesus Name. Amen
