Is It Really That Time Of Year?
Penny Leclair
As we start the new year school season in upstate NY, the weather has shifted; the trees are taking a hue that is putting excitement in my heart. I just love fall, it is my favorite time of year. The colors of red, orange and gold make me feel all warm and happy.   It gets cooler at night, the apples are almost ready for picking, and there is nothing like a fresh apple right off the tree. My kids and I decorate our home to the hilt with corn stalks, pumpkins, mums and scarecrows. We are definitely a family who enjoys the autumn season.
Along with the season change, there is a change in routine, the hustle and bustle of school activities, homework and family life can definitely take a toll on our health. I want to give you some quick and simple steps that you can do to protect yourself from any sickness this season.
As children of God, I want to first and foremost remind you that Jesus himself bore our sicknesses and carried our diseases, so in reality according to God’s Word sickness and disease are not allowed in our bodies, Jesus already took it all for us. But you say,  how come so many Christians are sick? Good question, and the answer is because they don’t believe in the finished work of the Cross, that is why. Plain and simple, the Bible says as a man thinks in his heart so is he, the bible also says all things are possible for those who believe.
How many people do you know, when you ask how they are doing and they say I am sick and the person next to them immediately says, oh great thanks a lot for sharing it. Or its flu season you better get your shot or your are going to get the flu…People come into agreement with these confessions and talk themselves into getting sick. Words are powerful and they can either create life or create death according to God.
1.       Know you are redeemed from sickness and disease, Jesus died for YOU to be healthy.
2.       Do not come into agreement with sickness; reject it immediately, NO MATTER WHAT YOU FEEL.
My kids and I take communion every week, we get out our communion cups filled with Ningxia Red and our matzo crackers and we partake in communion, bringing into remembrance all that Jesus did for us at the cross. Thanking God and confessing out loud for the love Jesus displayed for us by dying not only for forgiveness of sins, but so that we could live healthy right here and now.
3.       Take communion regularly bringing God into remembrance of His finished work.
4.       Be thankful for being healthy. Don’t wait until you get sick to confess daily your gratefulness for being healthy.
We eat as healthy as possible, and we pray over our food thanking God for the nutrients for our body, and we plead the blood of Jesus over it for our protection. Many food sources out there are GMO and have little or no nutritional value and no matter how conscious you are about buying organic healthy food, you do not know its true source. Do not come into fear about food, that is bondage and that’s exactly what the devil wants for you. Pray over it and believe God is bigger than any GMO’s.

5.        Pray over your food with thanksgiving and for protection.

Get back into a routine of good sleep, sleep is so important to the body’s immune system. 8 to 10 hours of sleep is required for a healthy body. It also helps with emotions and your performance mentally and physically.
6.       Get a good night’s sleep constantly.
Take supplements, good therapeutic supplements that detox, nourish and build the body’s defenses for protection. Even though we do all the above steps for our spirit and soul (mind), our bodies are natural they need to have some protection. I anoint my kids with Thieves daily, they take NingXia Red consistently, and we diffuse in our home after school. There are personal oils that my children use too, my daughter uses Valor and Joy daily, sometimes Stress away roll-on. My son uses Idaho Balsam Fir, that is his mainstay and lavender when he has seasonal runny nose, and if we do have an issue, we start at the top of the list and us the oils for the particular issue.

 7.        Take good therapeutic supplements to detox, nourish and build the body’s defenses.

God is our source of healing, but it’s not God’s best to heal us, it is God’s best that we never get sick. Anoint yourself with your favorite Essential Oil, (I use BELIEVE) and  renew your mind, by confessing out loud daily what God says He has already done for your health you will see that you will become healthy, vibrant and have supernatural strength. Below is my daily confession.
8.   This is the day the Lord has made I will rejoice and be glad in it. I speak life; health, strength and vitality into my body because I KNOW God’s healing power is at work within me. I am strong in the Lord and the power of His might and sickness and disease CANNOT reside in me. My body is free from pain, sickness and disease by the power of the blood of Jesus; by His stripes I am healed. I am healthy, wealthy and whole.
Be blessed this season with an abundance of health.
