Thieves Oil and Strep Throat

When I first started with Young Living my son was a wee 3 yrs old. He is now 14. He contracted Strep throat for the millionth time it seemed. He was always getting sick, some type of cold, viruses, strep, hand foot and mouth and or allergies… It seemed like the first 4 yrs of his life we were at the Doctors office all the time. I had my own parking spot. Well it felt like it anyway.
In February 2001I became a Young Living member and started using the oils after a great personal encounter with peppermint essential oil. My son woke up on a Friday morning with a rash on his face and body, I promptly took him to the Doctor knowing full well what they were going to say, because whenever he got strep it showed up with a rash. She took the throat culture and it came back positive. She handed me the prescription for yet another antibiotic. This time though, I went home and did not fill the prescription, I had just received my first order of Young Living Essential Oils Thieves, Peppermint, and Lavender. I was going to see what this was all about and if he didn’t feel better by morning I would get the prescription filled.
I called my friend who had much wisdom with the oils and asked her to please help me. She advised me to apply Thieves diluted up his spine, peppermint on the feet and I diffused lavender. My family (sister and mother) who thought I had absolutely gone out of my mind came to my house a 45 min drive for them to tell me that I was crazy and that I was going to kill my son. Even with all the discouragement and fear they were trying to instill in me, I couldn’t bring myself to get the prescription; I had had my own phenomenal encounter with peppermint that was still fresh in my mind. And I just knew that if I could just give it a try my son would no longer get sick like this.
I continued using the Thieves and Peppermint on his spine and feet about 4 times that day, the next day when my son woke up, his fever was gone, his rash was gone and he was running around the house like he wasn’t even sick. I called my mother and sister and rubbed it in their faces a little bit, but only a little bit…but they still were not convinced
So being as stubborn as I am when I get a revelation of truth, I took my son back to the Doctor on Monday morning to have her do another throat culture… it came out NEGATIVE. My son’s strep was completely gone without one drop of an antibiotic. And to this day he had strep only one other time and it was when he turned 12 and told me he didn’t need the oils anymore, so I said ok then when you get sick don’t come crawling to me…ah but he did with his tail between his legs.
Eleven years later my family and I still use Thieves for our protection from sickness and disease. I wont be without it. My daughter carries her Thieves hand purifier, we have the Thieves soap on the sinks, we use the Thieves household cleaner for everything, the toothpaste is definately a must in our house along with the mouthwash. The Theives spray is in my car to spray the vents, the on door knobs, and public bathrooms. I have even sprayed the back of my throat with the Thieves spray when I have had a sore throat, it took it away immediately.

What a wonderful oil! I’m always willing to try any alternative to an antibiotic as they are so harsh on the body.

Penny, What a great testimonial. I started using the oils last year as well, and my I am amazed at how it has helped us fight off colds and other illnesses. Thanks Penny, the thieves oil works indeed as a charm against infections. I use the cleaner in my house as well; it smells good and I know that everything is disinfected. It is one of the oils that we cannot go without for sure

I love your story. My grandson has gotten strep a few times and we also use Thieves, peppermint and Immupower. He loves the oils and asks for them when he doesn’t feel well.
